In addition to the natural wildlife preserve supported within the 500 acres operated by Shoosmith Bros., Inc. are several essential and independently run companies.

Ingenco converts landfill gas into 16 megawatts of electricity, enough energy to power 10,000 homes a day.

Vulcan Materials Company for mining of granite from the on-site quarry which will eventually facilitate more landfill space.

Lee Hy Paving Company uses the granite from the quarry to make asphalt.
